Ms. Rachel Kumferman

Hello!  I have been a School Social Worker in the Wauwatosa School District since 2001.  I received my Bachelor of Social Work Degree from UW-Eau Claire in 1993.  After working as a social worker in various settings, I went on to graduate school at UW-Milwaukee and received my Master of Social Work Degree, as well as my School Social Work Certficiation, in 2000.  I have been fortunate to serve in the role of School Social Worker at McKinley since I was hired.  It is a very large school, and there are so many great things happening.  I love that every day is different when you work with students and I wear many hats!  In addition to my work at McKinley, I have been the District's Homeless Liaison since 2011. This role has allowed me to interact with every school in our district, as well as surrounding districts, in order to break down barriers so that ALL students are able to access an equitable education, regardless of circumstances.  I am proud to work in this district and love my profession!
