Ms. Jessica Belich

Hello!  I'm Ms. Belich and I've been teaching art at West High School since 2001.  I am a graduate of the Maryland Institute, College of Art where I pursued a BFA in Fine Arts and an MAT in Art Education.  Although I enjoyed a lot of school subjects, I decided to become an art teacher at the age of 14 because it was the one subject where everything made sense.  Art has always been a way to communicate what's inside of me, a challenge of combining skill and concept.  I feel blessed to be able to help others find this for themselves.  My portfolio today is a mixture of photography, collage, and design work.  Through my work as an art teacher, I've been able to further my education by taking a number of opportunities including attending national conferences and becoming an AP Reader for AP Art History.  Additionally, I have earned my National Board Certification in Young Adult Art and maintain a Master Teacher's License from the State of WI.  It is through this experienece that I've been able to help my students earn college scholarships and win national level art awards.
