Ms. Bottum

Hello, I am Ms. Berentsen-Bottum. I would like to welcome all my students to 7th grade. I teach English Language Arts (ELA) classes in the "Big House" and have been been teaching 7th grade here since 1989. Writing is an important part of life and my classroom. I am using Google Docs more and more in ELA, getting closer to a paperless classroom. To let you know a little bit about myself, I live with my family in East Troy. I have two athletic children, a daughter who loves to run, play soccer and write and a son who excels in math, science and snowboarding. I also have two very active dogs: a Viszla and a Jack Russell Terrier. Our family likes to do lots of outdoor activities. Soccer is our big organized sport. In the summer we bike, water ski, swim, and hike. In the winter we are often at our local ski hill, Alpine Valley, skating on the lake or out on winter hikes. Even with all the activity, I still find time for my other love, reading. Since I love to ski, I run the ski & snowboard club. See the link to the club website!
