Student Council is a group of elected and volunteer students working with a faculty advisor to create a positive and welcoming school environment for all students and staff members. Throughout the year, Student Council organizes various charity drives, including food drives, clothing drives, and collecting monetary donations for organizations like the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation, the Hunger Task Force, and other charities of our choosing!

 

Student Council also plans the annual Homecoming dance, parade, spirit days, and pep rally. Through activities like that, Student Council is also the best way to gain leadership experience at East! You can become a class officer, representing your class at school events, gathering information from classmates about possible changes at school, and participating in the annual homecoming parade. But, whether you are an elected class officer, or a club member, student council is a great way to get involved at East and meet other people! We are always doing something, so we hope to see you at our next meeting!
