I graduated from the University of WI-Madison with a bachelor of science degree in Occupational Therapy in 1992.  After volunteering at a camp for children with Muscular Dystrophy for 10 years, I knew my goal was to work with the pediatric population.  I started working in the hospital setting and moved to the educational setting in 1995, where I have worked ever since.  I grew up in Wauwatosa so I was excited to start working in the Wauwatosa School District in 2015.  Occupational Therapists in the schools support students who require this related service to be successful within their special education program. I provide direct treatment to students and collaborate with staff regarding classroom adaptations and strategies to help students access their learning.  Some of these skills include strengthening, endurance, coordination, motor planning, and sensory processing as it relates to fine-motor, visual-motor, self-care skills, and attention to task.  I enjoy working with students, teachers, and families to help students feel successful in their learning.
