Mr. Chris Benes

My name is Chris Benes, and this is my seventh year at Wauwatosa West High School. Prior to joining the team at Wauwatosa West, I taught 7 years at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School and 4 years at Assata Alternative High School in Milwaukee. I teach Advanced Placement Human Geography, Economics and Social Problems. I am also the Wauwatosa West Mock Trial Advisor and the faculty advisor for the High School Democrats of America (HSDA) club.

I feel so fortunate to be teaching at Wauwatosa West High School. I believe that students should have fun while they learn, with every individual advancing towards the goal of becoming a lifelong learner. The Wauwatosa community consistently demonstrates its belief in maintaining strong schools, and I am proud to be teammates with such dynamic and hard-working faculty and staff. Our students show genuine concern for one another and the world in which they live, and are already having a positive influence in the Wauwatosa community and beyond.

I live in Brown Deer with my wife Sarah and our 3 children; Charlie (17), Eli (15) and Adalyn (8.) I enjoy sports, reading, shoe shopping, camping, and spending time with friends and family.

"The ends you serve that are selfish will take you no further than yourself but the ends you serve that are for all, in common, will take you into eternity."
