Bachelor of Science - Elementary Education Master's Degree in Administration & Curriculum & Instruction

Mrs. Kristina Koch

Hello! I am thrilled to be teaching at Longfellow Middle School in the STEM program. Previously, I taught fourth grade for two years at Lowell Elementary School in Waukesha. I then transferred to the Waukesha STEM Academy, teaching seventh grade for four years. During this time, I also obtained my Master's Degree in Administration and Curriculum and Instruction. I then became the Associate Principal at East High School during the 2014-2015 school year. The following year, I took a principal position at Hawthorne-STEM Elementary School in Waukesha. Although I enjoyed my administrative experiences, I am love teaching and am looking forward to providing a highly engaging STEM learning experience for our students here at Longfellow Middle School.

Outside of school, you can often find me outdoors or taking part in some sort of physical activity. I especially enjoy running, and have completed four half-marathons in the past four years. I am often hiking, fishing, or biking with my husband, Zak, and our dog, Donny. In fact, most of our summers are filled with camping and road trips. I especially have a passion for America's pastime, playing in a co-ed softball league for thirteen years. As a Wisconsin native, I have also never turned down a fish fry on Friday! We also had our first child, Tessa Joy, this past summer, which keeps us very busy! We currently reside in Oak Creek and enjoy our time there.
