Mrs. Catherine Muñoz

I have always been interested in Spanish language and culture and I am thrilled that I have been able to make my passion into a career. I graduated in 2011 with a B.A. in Spanish and PreK-12 education. Since then, I have taught ESL at ELS Language Centers, have taught Spanish Whitman and Longfellow Middle School and now, West High School. Here at West, I am happy to serve as adviser for the Global Education Achievement Certificate and the Multicultural Fair Committee. Traveling has also always been one of my interests. I have been to Mexico, Italy, Costa Rica, Cuba, and Nicaragua and I have studied in Spain and Guatemala. I am happy to have the opportunity to take our students at West abroad while serving as co-leader for our summer excursions. When I am not teaching or traveling, I enjoy spending time with my husband and family, trying different restaurants, photography, cooking, and crafts.
