Mrs. Amber Rush

Hello! My Name is Amber Rush, and I have been teaching in the Wauwatosa School District since 2009.  However, I have been an educator since 2005.  I received my Bachelor's Degree from Mount Mary College, and a Master's degree in Reading Education from Alverno College.   As a teacher, I enjoy fostering a love of learning, and teaching students various strategies in many areas to be successful both inside and outside of the classroom.  One of my passions is sharing high-quality literature with my classroom that allows for deep meaningful discussion, and understanding that hopefully students can relate to their own lives.  One of my favorite quotes is from the "well-known" novel Wonder.   "When given the choice between being right or being kind....choose kind."
