Mrs. Linda Landis

Kinderboys and Kindergirls, how does your garden grow? With A's and B's and 2's and 3's all lined up in a row. I have been teaching in the Wauwatosa School District since 2001. I have a degree in elementary education grades K4-6 and a Master's Degree in Reading and Literacy. As a kindergarten teacher, I hold the belief that a child's education begins at a very early age. I feel fortunate to be teaching this age group because my students come to me with enthusiasm and the desire to learn. It is my responsibility to foster this enthusiasm and to keep my students excited about learning. Kindergarteners have a great desire to explore the world around them. To them, learning is an adventure. I get excited about my teaching when I see that I am helping to develop positive attitudes about school and learning in my students. It is in these early years that attitudes are formed that can lead to a lifelong love of learning. I feel that kindergarten should be a loving, nurturing educational environment where children know the importance of themselves, family, friends, and teachers in their everyday lives.
